THAILAND
Phuket & Krabi

My first solo trip was to Thailand. My adventure began at Karon Beach in Phuket. I was primarily in Phuket to teach English to Thai children but, I wanted to ensure that I experienced as much of Phuket as possible.

Highlights of my stay were; the Big Buddha statue (I got blessed by. a Buddha here), the temple complex Wat Chalong, Mueang Phuket District as well as Patong.
Patong was a great place for beaches, bars, and had a great nightlife... especially on the famous Bangala Road! Whilst in Patong, I also tried out Muay Thai Boxing in the Patong Stadium; the instructors are excellent at what they do!

Whilst in Phuket, I visited the elephant sanctuary. I was so happy to see the elephants being loved and cared for, especially after the horrific abuse they had encountered.
This experience definitely opened my eyes to the abuse that animals encounter in countries like Thailand, and has made me look to do my bit to help where I can.

Another location that i loved was Phang Nga. Here I visited the Wat Suwan Kuha (Cave Temple) and the Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park. I saw some incredible waterfalls, did some amazing water rafting, and even zip lined through the forest.

I took a boat ride to Khao Phing Kan (James Bond Island). During the journey I had the opportunity to do Kayaking through caves, snorkeling and even had fun jumping off of the boat!

My visit would not have been complete without a walk up the 1,237 steps to the mountain summit to visit the Wat Tham Seua (Tiger Cave Temple). This is where the large golden Buddha statue stands. Whilst at the top, the views of Krabi town and the temples below were amazing. The hot spring waterfalls and the emerald pool were definitely a welcome relief when we visited them on the journey back to the hotel!

One thing I'll never forget was the fun I had at Full Moon Party at Paradise Beach.
The atmosphere was electric and something I recommend you experience if you ever visit Thailand!

Phi Phi Islands

This Island is a small piece of heaven. It is paradise. The waters are some of the clearest waters that I have ever seen. The easy-going and relaxed atmosphere made my time here really enjoyable.

I loved spending time at the Hippie Bar... especially watching the fire show!

Walking up to the viewpoint to watch the sunset was incredible! Watching the sunset over such a small island was breathtaking.

If you ever want to snorkel, Phi Phi islands is one of the best places to go. On the island, you can find tours that will take you out to the best locations! Whilst on our little tour, we even stopped off at Monkey Beach!
