A comprehensive and independent study on a specialist related topic of my choice.
Through a 6000 word written project, I had to explore and challenge the established parameters of my subject and demonstrate the relationship between theory and practice. I had to evaluate contextual issues from a social, cultural and historical perspective.
My chosen topic was to understand the future of the high street.
 
From working in the retail sector from the age of 17, I have seen changes in the way people shop and wanted to explore the viability of the high street in its current form and if it meets the needs of today's consumer. I found that the high street was not necessarily failing, but is in the process of evolving in order to meet the changing needs of the consumer.
This was a very interesting project that allowed me to understand more about the retail sector and how retailers can build a successful and sustainable future
