I absolutely loved teaching children in Java, Indonesia throughout July 2019

I was located mainly in the area of Banyuwangi. The local who accompanied us to each school had also set up classes of his own. To enrol in the classes, children would have to collect litter and plastic and fill up a litre bottle . Once in school the children would use the bottles to make seats

​

This was an initiative that was put in place to help promote sustainability and make children at young age aware of recycling. 

It was a fabulous experience to learn about the culture of Indonesia and how life differs to that of the west.
